18:08 is a Fashion project by artist and designer Galya Biryukova, bringing together an original collection, a fashion film, and photography.
The project was inspired by the films of Federico Fellini and by the particular state they left the artist in one in which the present, memory, and imagination coexist.
In 18:08, the conventional division between masculine and feminine dissolves. The image remains central, whether embodied by a man or a woman. The artist works with silhouette and emotional presence, allowing clothing to exist beyond conventional gender boundaries.
The central image of both the collection and the film is that of hands embracing a face. For the artist, this gesture is connected to the memory of touch and maternal presence, an inner connection to the past and her lineage, and a sense of support and blessing.
