About Galya Biryukova

Galya Biryukova is an artist and designer whose practice lies at the intersection of fashion, form, and artistic expression.

In 2015, after studying at the Slava Zaitsev Fashion House, she founded GB / Galya Biryukova — an independent creative practice in which fashion becomes part of a broader artistic language.

Today, Galya Biryukova’s practice is based in Milan and brings together fashion, photography, fashion film, and artistic projects.

At the heart of her work are human presence, the architecture of the body, the relationship between material, movement and space, as well as memory and personal experience.

Galya Biryukova creates original collections, unique garments, and artistic projects, developing around them a coherent visual narrative — from form and image to photography and film.

Her practice exists at the intersection of fashion and art, where clothing becomes not merely an object, but part of an artistic statement.

Galya Biryukova is a member of the Moscow Union of Artists and the Association of Decorative Arts Artists. She is a winner of professional competitions, has participated in exhibition projects, and has presented her work on multiple occasions during Fashion Weeks in Milan, Paris, and Moscow
